I'm at it again but this time with one of the hottest new pop bands, Chester French aka D.A & Max! We teamed up to create an audio movie with a score of all original music written, produced and performed by Chester French.
This mixtape is pure entertainment with humorous skits, interludes and a few surprise guest features that will take you on a journey with D.A. & Max from their Harvard days where they formed their band and hooked up with a few "Nerd Girls," to Hollywood where they were partying and getting kicked out of clubs, got a record deal and subsequently were sucked into the Hollywood life before buckling down and finishing their debut album.
I've been in the studio nonstop for the past few weeks putting this masterpiece together, and for those of you who are not yet familiar with Chester French, after this project you will become a fan of their unique, creative sound and understand why KanYe West, Jermaine Dupri and Pharrell Williams all wanted to give them a record deal! They ultimately signed with Star Trak/Interscope and their debut album "Love the Future" is slated to drop April 21st, but in the meantime GET FAMILIAR with my new collaboration with Chester French, set to drop this March. I've worked with and have been around many talented people from Akon to Diddy to Ludacris & Ne-Yo but I recently was so impressed by someones talent so much so that I had to share it with everyone. That someone is Sean Kingston. We recently went in the studio together to work on music for his new album and I am happy to say we wrote a Smash together. I went in one room and wrote the hook while he was in another writing the verses but not only was I impressed by what he wrote during that session but we did a party together a few weeks prior to that studio session and spent several hours hanging out going through music to not only pick for album but for a mixtape we are going to do together as well. I am not exaggerating when I say that if I played 15 beats, he came up with a melody and song ideas to all 15 beats on the spot but not just cool ideas...Doooope ideas! Some people might not realize this dudes potential or feel like he'll have another record as big as "Beautiful Girl" but I know he will. This dude is full of creative talent and is still just getting started. He is well on the road to becoming a far bigger star than he already is. I feel privilaged to be able to work with such a talent and hope that working together will last for a long time but if not, one thing is for certain.....he will! Get Familiar!!! Look out for his new album on the way.

I was lucky enough to work on Ludacris' new album Theater Of The Mind, which was released today. Myself and my engineer Kamau Georges originally did 2 records. "Call Up The Homies" was the one that made it. In a few months, DTP plans to release a special version of the album that may contain a bonus joint that we produced as well, so let's hope for that, cuz it's a great record featuring Criss Angel. This album also marked the 1st time that Kamau mixed a record that I produced on a major album release, so congrats to the big man! Yaaaaooo, you're know rocking with Kaaamaaauu, Get Familiar!

Get Familiar with my boy Colby O'Donis album which dropped this week titled Colby O. I produced 4 records on the album along with my partners Akon, Kamau Georges & Tombstone. As some of you may already now I produced his second single titled "Don't Turn Back" and I'm also in the video which you can see here on my site. Anyhow, I know this sounds bias because I'm involved but even if you take off my records this is a really good album. As a matter of fact, the best record on the album in my opinion is one I had nothing to do with and its called "Let You Go" a SMASH!!!!! Why they didn't send that out as a single is baffling to me. The album is in stores, get familiar and go support.

The Gym Class Heroes are back and getting ready to drop a new album. They have 2 new singles dropping and one of them is titled "Cookie Jar" featuring The-Dream. My boy Travis hit me up and told me to come by video set to get a cameo so I flew out to LA to hang out with them. The record is Awesome! I just started blasting it off on my SmashTime Radio show! After performing with Akon at Rehab at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, we went to the studio to work on mixing and sequencing records for Colby O'Donis' album with my good buddy Exit, who's an amazing engineer. As it stands now I produced 4 records for Colby's album and I have the 2nd single called "Don't Turn Back," which I'll be world premiering on SmashTime Radio this weekend. Kon also played me his album which is gonna be craaaaazy, his first single is gonna be featuring an icon is pop history so stay tuned for that. I may even have a joint on his album too.
YESSSSS finally got the oppurtunity to work with some awesome talent from my hometown, Boston. I found to dope rappers, one called Sev-One who's signed to G.E.M.S worldwide and Supastar L.T. who are both incredibly talented artists. I recently dropped a mixtape with Sev (which you can download here: http://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/i6htq5) called "The Bootleg" and I'm about to release L.T.'s mixtape "The People's Focus." Both mixtapes feature records I've produced and have features from artists like Jadakiss, Junior Reid, Rick Ross, Cassidy and Freeway. So Get Familiar with them cuz they are making some noise!
I'm also working with my boy Jalen Rose (Former NBA player turned ESPN correspondent) who has an artist he's working with named Kristen..She's an R&B singer that I just finished writing and producing 2 records for. She has an amazing voice, look for her coming soon.
Tonight was the official NY red carpet celebration for the last & final season of HBO's The Wire. As a host on KarmaloopTV, I interviewed all the entire cast from the show on the red carpet. Everyone was super cool even Marlo. When I asked Chris Partlow who plays Gbenga Akinnagbe on The Wire if people mistake him for his character and try to test his gangster, he revealed to me he was a D-1 wrestler... so then "I said what would you do to someone if they did test you," and he proceeded to put me in a chicken wing hold that I could not get out of!!! Also shout out to Red Cafe & Fabolous who I linked up with at the studio after The Wire event. They were recording to a beat I produced and then Fabolous (who I now look at very differently) hipped me to this disgusting website - www.2cups1girl.com once u see the video you'll know why. Btw - Do not eat anything while watching this video!
Tonight was a dream come true, Akon brought me up on stage of JAM'N 94.5's Monster Jam concert & introduced as his co-writer & producer of his "Sorry, Blame It On Me" record right before he performed the record in front of 20,000 people in my hometown of Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden, it was amazing considering how the Red Sox just won the world series, the Partriots are 8-0 smashing teams left and right, Boston's got talent on many levels and I'm proud to represent Boston all over the world!
