Dance tips for Carmen Electra, DJ'n with Duran Duran
This Saturday was another awesome night at Smashtime Saturday's at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas. Method Man came through as well as Carmen Electra and I shared the set this with Roger Taylor of Duran, Duran... How crazy is that??? Tony Wang from the Hard Rock hit me earlier in the week asking me "Do you mind if the guy from Duran, Duran DJs with you?" I'm like "are u crazy? They are pop music icons... of course I don't mind" I'm all about 80's music. On the red carpet I gave carmen some dance tips on how you can cabbage patch to Guns N' Roses & she gave me tips on how to always just look straight & smile on red carpets so there's never a picture of you looking dumb... i.e., the pic of me looking up & laughing like a donkey! Stay tuned as we broadcast The Daily Ten on E! for an entire week live from the Hard Rock in Vegas June 9th-13th... That week is going to be insane!
I DJ'd the Iron Man movie premiere party at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood last night. Iron Man is expected to do some big numbers at the box office this weekend, so go check it out, this movie is a must see, setting the summer off right for big blockbuster films like the new installments in the Indiana Jones and Batman franchises. They left my boy Ghostface out of Iron Man, but make sure you stay 'till the end of the credits to catch the Samuel L. Jackson cameo, damn that guy is a movie whore!
The "Fantastic 4's" Ioan Grufford and Matthew Rhys from ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" came through to party at SMASHTIME, they apparently heard that Bun B was in town to host SMASHTIME. They were all in Vegas this weekend to watch the Bernard Hopkins vs. Joe Calzaghe fight. Since Bun B and Hopkins share the same first name (Bernard) as well as the services of Rap-A-Lot CEO J. Prince, the Bunster walked Hopkins out to the ring to get him into a Trill state of mind. Unfortunately Joe Calzaghe devastated Hopkins in 12 rounds with a split decision.
Bun performed a few of his UGK classics like the grammy nominated "International Players," Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin," his new single "That's Gangsta" and of course he went "Down In The Dirty" with me. Video footage of his performance will be coming very soon, so don't forget to check back.
Right after the video shoot, Supastar L.T. and I hopped on a plane to make it out to Vegas for my SMASHTIME party at Body English. This week we were hosting Ray-J's "All I Feel" album release party. Brandy came out to celebrate and we debuted Supastar L.T.'s new song featuring Ray-J called "All Around The World." The response was crazy. I can't wait till we put that record out. This weekend is going to be crazy at SMASHTIME in Vegas @ Body English in the Hard Rock hotel & Casino, my boy Ne-Yo is coming to hang out and party with us. Recap: Performing With Pitbull & Ray-J at SMASHTIME
Performed (yes that's right, in '08 I will be performing as an Artist not a DJ) my new single "On 2 U" (which I wrote & produced) with Pitbull at Body English this past Saturday, the crowd was great, felt good to be back on stage in front of the DJ booth (for those that know my history you know I used to get down). Ray-J came through and performed his new single "Sexy Can I" as well. My boys DJ Felli Fel & Mr. Fab were in attendance along with Jason Giambi & David Wells. Hit the Poker tables right after... that must be where In Touch Magazine caught up to us! Get Familiar this Saturday January 12th because its going to be so Official in Las Vegas. As you may or may not know already, I do a weekly party @ Body English in the Hard Rock every Saturday with my partners from The Daily Ten on E!'s Sal Masekala & Ben Lyons but this date is going to be CRAZZZYY!!!! We are having a release party for my new mixtape Hip Pop Rockstar II with Diddy and there will be a performance by Pitbull. Also on this night E! will be filming an episode for their show "Wild On" which if you don't know is a show that highlights the hottest clubs & parties in the world. Everybody that attends will get a free copy of the mixtape & what I'm most excited about is I will be performing on stage my new record with Pitbull titled "On 2 U" .....yes, u read correctly. I WILL be coming from around the turntables & performing in front of a packed club. Other invited guests include my Boy, Ray-J, Jalen Rose, Nick Cannon, beautiful ladies from AVN, sexy party people etc., and this doesn't even include Ben & Sals invites...lol....If you have been thinking of coming to party in Vegas, Saturday Jan 12th is the weekend you need to be there. Office Star Krasinksi Has SMASHING Time at Body English
John Krasinksi — better known as Jim Halpert on the crazy popular NBC show The Office — popped up at Body English this past Saturday night for our weekly E! “SMASHTIME” party. We bumped into Krasinski while at the Hard Rock's new restaurant Ago (make sure you check this spot out, great Italian food) and Ben invited him out to celebrate his boy's bachelor party with us at Body English. MTV joker Andy Milonakis also hung out, literally on some crutches all night long!

Tonight was the official NY red carpet celebration for the last & final season of HBO's The Wire. As a host on KarmaloopTV, I interviewed all the entire cast from the show on the red carpet. Everyone was super cool even Marlo. When I asked Chris Partlow who plays Gbenga Akinnagbe on The Wire if people mistake him for his character and try to test his gangster, he revealed to me he was a D-1 wrestler... so then "I said what would you do to someone if they did test you," and he proceeded to put me in a chicken wing hold that I could not get out of!!! Also shout out to Red Cafe & Fabolous who I linked up with at the studio after The Wire event. They were recording to a beat I produced and then Fabolous (who I now look at very differently) hipped me to this disgusting website - www.2cups1girl.com once u see the video you'll know why. Btw - Do not eat anything while watching this video!
E! SMASHTIME Saturdays with The D10, at club Body English, OFFICIALLY kicked off in a big way this weekend. As you may have seen several times on my Blog already, me and my Daily 10 co-hosts Sal Masekela & Ben Lyons are hosting parties and events each week at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. One of Ben's favorite young actresses, Michelle Trachtenberg, came by and hung out in the deejay booth, as did NBA legend and ESPN correspondent Jalen Rose. The incredible band Blaqk Audio (a side project from Davey Havok and Jade Puget of alternative group AFI) set the party off with a live set. Look for album releases, movie premieres, DVD releases and your favorite actors, actresses, athletes and artists to be out in Vegas with The Daily 10 at the Hard Rock.
Tonight I DJ'd the annual E! Network holiday party on the Sony studios lot in California which was packed with over 3000 employees ready to have a good time. 1st off, had to be one of the best company parties I've ever seen. They had casino tables, games, it was like a carnival/club. Anyhow this was not only the holiday party but it was also a celebration of sorts for the debut of the highly successful & funny Snoop Doggs Fatherhood & in honor of that, the Snoopster came through & hung out, got on the mic & partied with all the employees from E!, Style & G4 channels. The night was crazy! Shout out to Wendy Schillinger, Jen Danska, Jeff Shore, Barry Nugent & drunk girls & the one dude that you get @ every party holding up a W requesting that you play a Wu - tang record. Long Live Hip Hop! Don't forget we officially blast off Smashtime Saturdays @ Body English in the Hard Rock/ Las Vegas Sat Dec 29th & every Saturday on 2008 brought to you be the E! Channels Daily Ten & hosted alongside my partners Sal Masekela & Ben Lyons...This will be the hottest party in the world every week...Get Familiar!!!
Went to go see the premiere of Paramount pictures new movie Beuwolf in LA tonight with my boys Ben Lyons, Daouda & Dannie. The movie was awesome & you need to go see it but when you do make sure you see it in 3D. Everybody was in the theatre from Brad Pitt to Sean Penn, Seth Rogen, Ricky Shroeder as well as the stars of the movie Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich & Ray Winstone. Speaking of Ray Winstone we all hung out with him after the Movie. If your not familiar with who Ray Winstone is, he is Beuwolf (the star of the movie) but I like to think of him as Frenchy from The Departed.
Tonight was a dream come true, Akon brought me up on stage of JAM'N 94.5's Monster Jam concert & introduced as his co-writer & producer of his "Sorry, Blame It On Me" record right before he performed the record in front of 20,000 people in my hometown of Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden, it was amazing considering how the Red Sox just won the world series, the Partriots are 8-0 smashing teams left and right, Boston's got talent on many levels and I'm proud to represent Boston all over the world!
Starting tonight and continuing every Saturday after, myself, Sal Masekela and Ben Lyons invaded Body English in Las Vegas, NV at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for E! Entertainment & The Daily 10's SMASHTIME Saturday's! It was awesome, we had a $10,000 costume party giveaway that brought out some of the most amazing costumes I've ever seen. Ben dressed up as DMC, while Sal was a "dick in the box," well not literally, but he may have actually had his, well you know what in the box... I think some lucky ladies may have had the chance to find out, check out some pic's from the event, stayed tuned for more crazy, insane events at Body English SMASHTIME Saturday's!
Every year the E! Network has a big summer party for all the 2000 employees in their massive courtyard, this year to celebrate they hired me to smash down the party, it was crazy tonight, great food, fun and lots of booze!

Went to Transformers movie premiere with my boy Tyrese in LA...was my 1st time walking the red carpet to a movie premiere, let alone with one of the stars of the movie. I called up my buddy Busta Rhymes to roll along with myself & Ginuwine..while tyrese was doing interviews I stepped in as Busta's manager amd brought him over to get interviewed by E!, CNN, MTV and a few others... Anyhow the movie is Incredible!!! Like get chills, hair on your arm stand & kinda get that tingly feeling in your nose like your almost going to cry dope! When Optimus Prime talks & says "I'm Optimus Prime" forget about it. The best movie of the summer..Crushes everything else. Went to Winstons for afterparty with my boy Ben Lyons....everyone was there including Michael Bay, the director of the film & the rest of the cast of the movie. Speaking of Ben Lyons, after a couple drinks he became the LION.....ha!
The BET awards in were LA once again. This year, like last year my buddy video Benny Boom asked me to DJ his pre-award party last night. During the day before the party went down I stopped by the Shrine Auditorium to score a few interviews for SmashTime Radio. Rihanna, Common, Young Buck, Swizz Beatz, Chris Brown, Lupe Fiasco, Eve, Bun B, Mike Epps and many more stopped by to be guests on my show. Shout to Melissa from JAM'N 94.5's Boston morning show. At night the party for famed music video director Benny Boom went down at "The Day After," the place was rammed, not to mention the DJ booth was 10 times more packed then the club. Ne-Yo, Mario, Akon came thru and DJ Clue co-hosted the party alongside me! People got turned away left and right from the door, how wack is it when security let's you slide in and you point out the people that are with you, then there is always some loser that tries to squeeze in your crowd & slide in?
