Here are a few words from my buddy Kardinal Offishall:

"In a time when Hip-Hop seems as far away from the golden era as it could get, 2 music lovers came together to have fun wit this shit and touch on a couple of current topics along the way. The mission of this mixtape is to stir the pot a little bit and have people think a 'lil while buggin out to beats we all grew up on! This 'Do The Right Thing' mixtape right here... This is for the forward thinking listener, 'nah mean...' Some people say Hip-Hop is dead, Hip-Hop is alive, it's in the south, it's in the east, it's in the west, it's in the north, Hip-Hop is in evvvvery mother fucker around the world who love this shit, 'ya mean,' we have the power to make Hip-Hop whatever we want it to be, 'see what im sayin,' so on behalf Clinton Sparks and myself Kardinal Offishall we DO THE RIGHT THING!"

Video Shoot 4 Akon "Sorry, Blame It On Me"

Two weeks ago I got the word from Akon that he was going to shoot a video for his new single "I'm Sorry," which I produced and helped write. He had already contacted Chris Robinson to direct, who's also a good friend of mine, we'd recently worked together for the Boost Mobile Rockcorps Concert in LA this past spring. They both decided that since the first verse was a very personal verse that was dedicated to my family, that I should play the lead actor in the video. Chris actually asked me to worked with him on the treatment for my scenes, we came up with a few dope ideas to really drive the emotional message of the song home.

So here we are today at the video shoot of a song which I produced and co-wrote... it's the most amazing feeling to 1st hear your song being sung by a super-star singer/producer/writer in the studio, then to turn on the radio and hear that same song being played over and over, listeners calling up to request it and then you walk on to the set of a video shoot and see the visuals being scripted out. Dude, it's unreal!

I invited the Lion, Ben Lyons out for a cameo in the video, but he wouldn't follow my directions to just linger directly behind me in the airport scene of the video, so maybe you're see him, maybe you won't. Be sure to catch the behind the scenes exclusive of the video shoot on E! The Daily 10, featuring me, Akon & Ben Lyons. Here are a few pictures to show you what the shoot looked like. Some video coming soon, stay tuned, Get Familiar!
